The tool runs entirely in your browser, and nothing is uploaded. Open the web page above to use it.

## Why use this blur image?

### Share screenshots safely

Hide email addresses, API keys, customer names and faces before a capture goes into a ticket, chat or public post.

### Three levels of hiding

Blur for a soft look, pixelate for a classic censor effect, or a solid block when the content must be completely unreadable.

### Undo as you go

Every area is its own step, so you can undo the last one or clear them all and start again.

### Private details stay private

The image is edited in your browser and is never uploaded, so the information you are hiding is never exposed to a server.

## How to use the blur image

1. Drop, choose or paste an image.
2. Choose blur, pixelate or solid block and set the strength.
3. Drag a rectangle over each area you want to hide.
4. Download the edited PNG.

## Blur, pixelate or block: which is safest?

Light blurs and large pixels can sometimes be partly reversed, especially on short text like numbers. For passwords, keys and account numbers, use the solid block or a high strength. Recording your screen instead? ScreenBadger’s privacy blur automatically hides passwords, emails and tokens while you record.

## Frequently asked questions

### Can someone unblur my image?

The exported PNG contains only the blurred pixels, not the original. Weak blurs on short text can still be guessed, so use a high strength or the solid block for anything critical.

### Can I blur more than one area?

Yes. Draw as many rectangles as you need. Each can use a different effect and strength.

### Does it work on phones?

Yes. Drag with your finger to draw an area on touch screens.

### Is my image uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser, and the original image never leaves your device.
